Business Development Agronomist, Mike Stoker, spends a week with Suplidora Verde in Costa Rica

Reflecting on his trip, Mike said: "Spending time with their agronomists ‘On farm’ in the Pital region (Costa Rica’s Pineapple capital) opened my eyes to the challenges of Pineapple production with a collective 50,000 Ha’s being grown throughout the country enduring a whopping 6 to 7m average annual rainfall! With 65,0000 plants/ha grown and 2 Pineapples per plant grown over a 12-month period, challenges from soil erosion to biotic pressures are a daily occurrence."
